NCPC are looking for motivated, passionate GPs to join us and lead a new model of primary care, with no financial risk, business ownership, or employer responsibilities.
Our GP partners are provided with dedicated time each week to develop and demonstrate their leadership skills in lead areas, decided collaboratively by the partners with the support of the medical director. They are key members of our practice leadership teams, with additional responsibility for the development, quality and delivery of our services. Responsibilities for clinical leadership, training, safeguarding, service development, safety and quality are shared amongst our Salaried Partners.
Salaries are fixed annually and surpluses are returned into patient services or staff welfare and development activity. We feel this unique role combines the best parts of being a GP Partner and being a salaried employee.
Recruitment Incentives (paid pro rata, discretionary)
Experienced GPs: A £20,000 recruitment bonus for experienced GPs joining us.
Newly Qualified GPs: A recruitment bonus of £10,000 for GPs joining us together with the national fellowship scheme.
GP Trainers: A recruitment bonus of £5,000 for established GP trainers in addition to the recruitment bonus
Main duties of the job
NCPC GP Salaried Partner roles provide senior clinical leadership to their practice team in addition to the provision of clinical sessions.
Salaried GP partners are required to take on lead roles within the practice, for example:
- CQC lead
- Prescribing lead
- Safeguarding lead
- Or other clinical areas to ensure good quality care and compliance with national and local requirements.
Salaried GP partners are complemented with management teams both within practices and across the wider organisation. Salaried GP partners take on a lead practice role, and additionally have the opportunity to take on available NCPC GP Lead roles across the whole of NCPC. These wider NCPC GP Lead roles support practice teams whilst developing shared ways of working to improve quality and systems across NCPC. Lead roles within practices and across NCPC are facilitated by dedicated non clinical time.
